Whats your favorite lancome mascara and or foundation?

?|||hypnose. i don't wear lancome foundation.|||I recently started to wear lancome foundation. I like it so far. I am using Ivoire #2 wears up to 14 hours and is oil free.

Lancome Dual Finish Versatile Powder Foundation? I need help matching my color.?

I am planning on buying Lancome Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup. Has anyone tried this? I am a MAC NC35 and it would be great it someone could match my color with one of theirs!

Thank you very much! :)|||visit the following url|||yaa its good...you should probably just test it at the store to make sure

How do you find out who makes what brand? For example, Lancome makes Loreal.?

If you're looking for a particular brand's "parent company" that info should be available on their site. Or it could work in the reverse, like find out other companies under one company. The links to this stuff is usually at the bottom of the page, like "Companies" or "About [company]"|||you can just check it up on the products' packaging. for example, on a Za packaging you can most probably see imported by Shiseido Co (pte) Ltd and on a Fasio packaging you can see imported by Kose and so on...

How do I know when Lancome is Real?

meaning if its fake?|||To be sure get it from an authorized seller:

Sephora

Ulta

Macys? (i believe)

Or order it from their site

check these sites, get a relative price, and if you see one sold for (WAY) less, it's probs fake.

also check the actual Lancome website and see what their logo and products look like

best of luck!

What brand has better foundation for oily skin, Dior or lancome?

Lancome. But honestly if u want a good foundation for oily skin, use Revlon colorstayfoundation. It is the best foundation for oily skin. Check revlon colortstay foundtion before buying lancome:)|||urban decay mineral foundation works great for my oily skin|||Lancome.|||Lancome Teint Miracle.

Where is lancome paris make up store in indonesia?

i live in indonesia, jakarta. i wanna buy some of lancome products here. i dont wanna buy them online. so anyone of u know where to buy it? in the mall, or something like that??|||Not sure, but FYI, Loreal is owned by Lancome. So their products have the same ingredients, but less than half the price! :)

Do you think Lancome cosmetics are still higher quality than L'oreal, even though it is owned by Loreal?

I think so, Ive bought loreal and ive bought lancome and I like lancome alot more, and yes I wear makeup!|||the more expensive it is, usually the more concentrated the formula of the makeup is. it tends to be finer and applies more easily than more inexpensive makeup. it doesn't really matter that madame loreal owns all the other companies, you are still going to get a better quality with the prestige brands. loreal also has maybelline and kiehls under their umbrella, among many others.|||Yeah I think so... it's like how Toyoya owns Lexus or how Nissan owns Infinity but Lexus and Infiniti are more like luxury cars. Lancome is more of the luxury makeup.|||I do believe that Lancome is a better quality even though it's owned by Loreal. Usually the higher end products use the higher end ingredients. Although I like Lancome, I perfer Clinque. It's better than the drug store products, but not as expensive as other department store cosmetics.|||Lancome is definitely of a higher quality. Nobody would pay that much for regular L'Oreal products, but the regular L'Oreal products are specifically made to be sold as a drugstore brand. If they were the same quality as Lancome products, they would cost just as much.|||i completely agree with you. i love lancome|||I work in cosmetics (L'Oreal specifically) and can tell you without hesitation that L'Oreal, Lancome and Maybelline share their technology. The difference is minimal....and is mostly in packaging and fragrance. Sometimes the cheaper brand makes a superior product.|||Yes, the more expensive price points use better ingredients and formula. So it is better than the cheaper makeup. However, sometimes, the expense is because of the packaging and the formula is quite similar.|||I think so

Where to buy lancome make up in australia?

were can i buy lancome make up. is it available in the chemists? this is for melbourne australia. thanks|||I know that most Terry White Chemists in Australia stock Lancome. The nearest one to you I believe would be Terry White at Knox. You can also try an inner-city Myer or David Jones.|||David Jones and/or Myer|||Chemists such as Soul Pattison have them. However, is SP doesnt have them try Myers which definitely has them and or David Jones.

Melbourne should have a wide range of makeup (I was there last year and was amazed at the range of products available- more than Sydney)....

Depending on the type of skin tone and skin type, Lancome consultants are also good to give you free demo regarding their products and can even do a free makeover for you (though not always) so you can try their products before you feel you want to buy them. I find Myer consultants and David Jones ones to be the best for that since they are trained in make-up looks:)

Good luck in finding them....cheers:)|||I found a heap of it here.

http://tinyurl.com/38wc89

It depends what product your after.

Its seems to have most of the range availble online|||retailers list|||David Jones in all capital cities.

Is there really a HUGE difference between Lancome definicils precious cells and the regular lancome definicils?

i dont want to pay 10 extra dollars if its basically the same product|||One has "precious cells" and the other doesn't...

Lancome La Base vs Shiseido The Makeup Matifying Veil vs Shiseido The Makeup Pre-Makeup Cream?

Lancome La Base

Shiseido The Makeup Matifying Veil

Shiseido The Makeup Pre-Makeup Cream

How are they different and which is better at keeping the make up in place all day, especially the eye area, for oily skin type.|||Lancome La Base is good. It's a gel-like primer. Shiseido veil and cream are cream based. I think La Base is oil free. I'm not sure about Sheseido products.

Lancome does not test their products on animals. Don't believe everything you read online.|||Neither. Lancome and Shiseido both test on animals.

"Star" - It would be illegal for PETA to release a list of all the companies who do test on animals, idiot.

"L'oreal" owns Biotherm, Cacharel, Garnier, Giorgia Armani, Helena Rubinstein, Lancome, Matrix Essentials, Maybelline, Ralph Lauren, Redken, Soft Sheen, Shu Uemura and Vichy. The company does test on animals.

L’Oreal will begin replacing its animal testing with tests done on engineered human tissue in 2013 though. It’s been named the “Episkin model” and its administered by a subsidiary called SkinEthic and it takes human skin reconstructed on collagen and runs tests on that. This will enable L’Oreal to stop using animals to test skin irritancy on 100,000 rats/rabbits, but on small pieces of human skin in petri dishes. Not only is this more ethical — to use dead human skin instead of live animal skin — but it’s more statistically valid. Animal skin is NOT a perfect substitute for human skin — human skin is the only perfect substitute for human skin.

What do you think about Lancome new spot clearing serum, Bright Expert?

Skincare, Lancome, Reviews, Advice|||Lancome is a bit pricey, but it's worth it.

I suggest you give it a try, of every product I used from Lancome, they all worked.

Looking for a less expensive pressed powder similar to Lancome Photogenic?

I love Lancome Photogenic pressed powder, but hate the $28 price tag. I do not usually wear any foundation, so the powder is all I use all day, everyday. Can anyone recommend a pressed powder very similar to this with a lower price? Thank you!|||Mary Kay has presses powder that is the same quality but at literally half the price. Our pressed powder is 14.00 and last a decent amount of time, plus it is a mineral powder so it is great for your skin. Check out my website at www.marykay.com.e-dunn and check it out further. You can even order right from the site. Hope this helps|||no idea|||my favorite line is physicians formula..they have tons of different powders for different skin types and for problem skin..check it out..also the price tag isnt 28$ which is a plus :)

http://www.physiciansformula.com|||Mary Kay has a dual coverage that is only $14. You can get it from w w w . m a r y k a y . c o m / r e b e c c a .

Don't use spaces. But I found this line to be as good as Lancome and much less expensive. Plus my consultant gives me excellent service.|||arbonne's about face translucent pressed powder(16$) or about face loose powder(22$)

Does anyone know where i can get lancome visionaire and skin recharge or a cheap alternative please?

i have been using the sample size of lancome visionaire and skin recharge but now they are running out and i saw how much the full size cost and it is so expensive, so if anyone knows where i can get them at knock down price or the same thing made by someone else then please help :) ty|||We'll hard to find but i found some for 40 and 30 ( after adding shipping) . i personally have ordered from them and they are great with their products. Shipping has been a bit slow at times... i get them like in a week or two after payment . but hey .. beats paying full price lol Good luck and hope this helps ..

Can you use Lancome Effacernes concealer on blemishes even though its intended for under eye circles?

Concealer is made to cover up blemishes so I think you could. If it can cover an under eye circle I'm pretty sure it can conceal a blemish.|||Its concealer so yeah i think so :)

Has anyone used Lancome Primordiale Nuit Visably Revitalizing Night Treatment?

Yes, and it works really well for the first signs of aging (late 20's and early 30's) I think it is a great night cream because it does the work without being too greasy.

Which clear gloss is better - MAC Lipglass or Lancome Juicy Tubes?

I want to have glossiest, shiniest, juiciest, most suggestive lips and I need the best lipgloss to do it. Which in your opinion gives the most lucious pout?|||Mac is all of those you want. It last all day and your don't need to touch it up unless you have drank allot and eaten. It is totally juicy and has a fabulous taste.|||I have tried MAC Lipglass before and it was very good! It lasted long, had a nice taste and was very glossy! If you want a good gloss the MAC one is the best.|||Mac lipglass gives the appearance of full lips but tends to be really really sticky. Juicy Tubes taste oh soo good and looks good too :)|||I've got both and I think really either MAC lustreglass or lipglass is definately the best. The juicy tube ive got is just wayy to glitter %26amp; just looks stupid. I'd definately go for the MAC over the JuicyTubes.

Is Lancome MAQUICOMPLET Concealer ok for sensitive skin?

I have really sensitive skin and I'm looking for a concealer to hide redness on my T-zone area.|||I haven't tried Maquicomplet yet, I ordered a sample of it from lancome's webiste. I am currently using Lancome's other concealer, Effacernes. It won Allure magazine's best of beauty award. I also have sensitive skin. I can't use bare essentials and that stuff is supposed to be good for your skin. I don't use it to hide redness but for my under eye circles. I would imagine that it can hide redness also, maybe a more olive shade would work best since green is used to cover redness.

Hope that helps!|||Lancome maquicomplet concealer simply oked for sensitive skin - brother...

I have an interview tomorrow with lancome at macy's and i was wondering how much the hourly wages are?

i was wondering if anyone knew how much they paid at the counter or if it is hourly plus commission? im a licensed cosmetologist and a trained makeup artist, the counter is in north Carolina and im curious as to how much i should expect. i know that it all depends on experience and education, but i was wondering if anyone can give me a rough dollar amount.|||i answered your other post. i think what they offered me was around $10 an hour, plus commission, but that was a few years ago, in florida, at dillards, and without a cosmetology license.

Are Loreal products the same as Lancome products?

They are the same company, and I've heard that they are the same product, different price, different packaging, different stores.|||same company?? i dont think so..

Lancome is better when it comes to skin product

Loreal is just excellent in hair product

|||L'Oreal and Lanc么me have the same corporate owner, even though each brand operates independently.

Can a teenager wear Lancome Tresor perfume?

I'm 14 and its my favorite perfume. It's a little strong so i only use a little lol. I don't really like to smell fruity. Is it too....old ladyish for a teenager to wear?|||If you like that perfume then use it. Nothing is wrong in that.|||Well it's not illegal, is it :P|||Nope! I'm the same age and I love that perfume :)

Can Lancome Waterproof Eye Concealer be used on my entire face?

I have very bad acne, and don't want people to see it when I go swimming. Can I use Lancome's waterproof eye concealer on my entire face, as a blemish concealer? Or, would it be too obvious? Because, I have pretty much no other options, and it IS summer, and I can't keep avoiding the pool when my friends come over. Please help! I am desperate! Thank you :)|||sure you can. if you use it here and there, it would be fine as a concealer. you just have to remember that it's made as an eyeconcealer so it's going to be heavier (especially cause it's waterproof) and thicker on so i don't suggest you use it all over your face. treat it as a spot concealer and it should work just fine.

now get out and soak up some vitamin D!!

hope this helps, and best of luck(:|||i don't think so, concealers are thicker for a purpose.

putting that all over will make it obvious.

try a waterproof full-coverage foundation.

Is clinique and lancome cosmetics vegan?

I know that they dont test on animals but do they contain animal in the products?? any help of a list of vegan makeup that are like everyday products or a list of everyday grocery food that is vegan?|||If you go to the PETA website, they have information on vegan products, on products that do not test on animals.|||dont no but u could try Lush they dont test on animals and most there products are vegan. and B has get vegan make-up and dont test on animals either|||Josie Maran (the supermodel) has a cosmetics line that is "green." I don't know if that also means vegan. Here's a link to the ingredients page. It gives the ingredients for each product.

http://josiemarancosmetics.com/packaging鈥?/a>|||I don't know all the info, but I always heard that Lancome tested out of this country in France (where animal rights laws are considered lax by our standards) I would do some research on them, I always heard very negative things about their animal testing.|||I know for sure that Clinique does not test on animals, but I think Lancome does.

Here is a list of products that do not test on animals:

How many months do Lancome blushes last?

Ive had my Lancome Blush Subtil for quite a few years 2+, does that mean i need a new one? It doesnt say how long its ment to last at the back :s

PLEASE HELP|||Dont worry, just swipe it with a kleenex once a month to remove germs =)|||brushes can last for years and years, provided they are cleansed with brush cleaner at least monthly... especially name brands. however, you'll see those free brushes you get with a set will fall apart or get 'stiff ' with time

people that don't clean their brushes with an antibacterial cleanser are gross! wiping with a kleenex is not sufficient!!! ewww!

my fav brush cleaner is from MAC|||it will last as long as you want it to, youre the only one who can determine that. depends on how you use it and store it.

you should be good 2 yrs is good. like...as long as it doesnt smell funky, if it does its not sanitary.

What order do I use these Lancome products?

Aqua fusion cream (continuous infusing moisturiser),

Galate conforte (Cleansing milk),

Tonique conforte (rehydrating skincare lotion)

When should I use these products?|||1st Galate conforte (Cleansing milk),

2nd Aqua fusion cream (continuous infusing moisturiser),

3rd Tonique conforte (rehydrating skincare lotion)|||1. Galate Milk cleanser

2. Tonique is like a toner

3. Aqua fusion cream this last step this is Hydrating lotion to lock in moisture.

Whats the difference between light bisque and light buff lancome effernice concealer?

The salesguy gave me light bisque and i asked for light buff. im going on a trip tomorrow and i was wondering if maybe i can get away with it. maybe i can add moisturizer to it. Light bisque looks a little yellow. any suggestions would be great. Thanks.|||Light Bisque has yellow tone and Light Buff has Pink tone in it.

Good Dupe For Lancome Le Crayon Khol Eyeliner?

Okay so I need a good dupe for the le crayon khol liner from lancome. Specifically in black coffee which I use as a daily liner. This liner is $30 where I live and eyeliner is just one of those things that I don't want to spend so much money on. So what is a good dupe that doesn't just have the same colour but is also long lasting, creamy and has the same quality as the lancome liner from the drugstore. Thanks.|||L'oreal Hip in Brown. It's actually slightly creamer, however you need to get a GOOD sharpener to sharpen it or it will not sharpen properly.

What do you think of the new lancome mascara?

I looove it. People always think my eyelashes are fake when. I wear it|||I looooooove it too!

The best!!!

How does the make-up of Lancome, Estee Lauder, and Clinique compare? Rank according to quality? Rank by price?

I am looking to get my make up done for my wedding and I am looking to get the best quality make up, for the best price. So I'm looking to hear what the difference is between these three brands and what would make me pick one over the other.|||There is sort of what age these brands are targeted for.

-Clinique is more for teenagers to young women who are starting out in makeup or want a natural look. Clinique has a very simple formula to their products and most of them are aimed for skincare, even the makeup.

-Lancome is more for young women to middle ages who just want good quality makeup. Lancome is quite modern and a bit on the elegant side.

-Estee Lauder more for middle ages to older women. Estee Lauder has a very elegant and traditional feel to their products.

PS. Lancome and Clinique are all Estee Lauder brands! So, is MAC and Bobbi Brown!|||Quality wise, Clinique and Este Lauder are the same since they are both a Lauder company, which I personally think is the best. By price, depending on the products you are interested in...again I would say Clinique(lowest), Este Lauder(middle), and Lancome(higher).

It isn't completely true that certain brands are for certain ages groups. There are many different products for all different skin types at the counters. I worked at Clinique for over 3 years and loved it, especially when we had consultations with clients. The counters will not charge you to do your makeup, you will be asked to buy a minimum amount of items...the items you but you will more than likely end up using later that day to. I would of course say...go with Clinique! But, ultimately it is your decision. Set up a pre-wedding day appointment so they can show you what your makeup would look like and go from there. Hope this helped!

Congrats on your wedding!!! :-)|||It really depends on what look you are going for. Clinique is known for their clean, simple look. Clinique is mainly about skin care so that is the reason behind that. Preferably in my pictures I chose Clinique because I didn't want to look harsh or unnatural in my photos. Clinique was really about enhancing my features instead of covering like Estee and Lancome do. However, any counter is willing to do what ever you want! I would definitely recommend Clinique because they will set up a 3 appointments. One for skin care (a month before), one for practice for your wedding look, and then the day of. Just my personal opinion though!

Which Mac or Lancome foundation covers the best?

I want flawless looking skin like Kim Kardashians. I have good skin (no pimples or oily skin) but I want it to look airbrushed clean. Any suggestions?|||I use the MAC's Studio Fix. it's got a matte finish and it covers awsomenly!

http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr鈥?/a>|||I personally would reccommed MAC over lancome. The color selections from MAC are far more natural and they offer the widest range of formulations on the consumer market. Since you have clear skin on your own, I would try using a light formulation such as tinted moisturizer or their Studio Mist spray foundation. These give a light coverage, but will even out the skin and make it look more finished. To use the spray foundation you first spray it onto your hand or a plastic pallate and then use a brush or sponge to dab it onto the skin. This will even you out but will give you a dewey and airbrushed look.

You can also try a powder foundation such as the Studio Fix, which can be used wet or dry to give light to medium coverage. This gives a matte finish, so you need to be careful to apply in moderation to avoid looking like you are wearing a mask. I suggest trying one of the light liquids like the spray or tinted moisturizer.

Mineral makeup is a good option as well. As long as you don't have an allergy to bismuth, Bare Escentuals is the brand I recommend. Use their makeup in moderation, I stress this as you really can look like you are wearing a mask if you don't. Also, make sure you are using the right shade. It is better to pick a shade that is too light than too dark so when in doubt choose the lighter shade. I recommend going to one of their boutiques if you are near one as they are best trained to make recommendations. Sephora also sells it and their staff is usually pretty helpful. I would avoid taking the recomnedations of most people working at Ulta, but once you know your shade it is fine to purchase there. I would suggest starting out with the starter kit as it contains everything you need to make the foundation look best. Use in serious moderation and it will make your already good skin look pretty perfect.

If you have clear skin I would stay away from heavier formulations, anything claiming to give medium to full coverage you just don't need and it isn't worth clogging up your pores.

Make sure if you are wearing foundation of any kind that you are careful to cleanse your face both night and day, and use a toner to avoid clogging your skin.|||Sure Diana. You said you have good skin already which sounds like you're already using a good skin care regimen and while I have not used the brands you mentioned, I do use aularale.com/7002 and get compliments on my face all the time.|||I highly recommend Lancome's Dual Finish. I hardly wear powder or foundation, but this is one product I truly have enjoyed in the past.|||i think the mac foundations are much better than lancome, they do actually give you a flawless finish and one of the greatest things about them is that they come in a good range of colours to suit most peoples skin tones. you could go into a mac store or to a counter and ask them which one would suit your skin type, you could even try them to see which one works best for you. the staff are very helpfull and always willing to help to find which products best suit your needs and apperance.|||Don't use liquid foundation...it will cause your skin all kinds of problems. Try Bare Minerals or something like it. Neutrogena and Revlon both have mineral versions of this type of make-up and it's MUCH healthier, safer and easier to use on your skin. PLUS, it delivers the most "natural" %26amp; flawless finish that you can find. This stuff is so gentle, you can even sleep in it and it won't clog your pores or cause you to break out...it's awesome! (One jar of it will last about 6 months too!)

What kind of brush do you apply Lancome Ink Artliner Gel with?

I want to try out this Lancome Ink Arliner gel but I have no idea what kind of brush I need to apply it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Here is the gel liner: http://www.lancome-usa.com/makeup/eye-pe鈥?/a>|||A stiff eyeliner brush is perfect. Lancome doesnt have a good one. Dior has an awesome one that is easy to clean and is the same price as Lancome's brush.

Dior's gives a more precise line.|||An angled definer brush, I use this one from Maybelline:

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a鈥?/a>|||Use a hard angle brush. You can get them at ELF.com for a dollar!! Angle brushes work the best with the shape of eyelids but regular hard brushes work as well.

I use Lancome Dual Finish powder and my face always gets shiny and oily looking?

What is a good face powder with good coverage that won't make my face so greasy looking? It's so annoying, I'm constantly blotting my face. Please recommend a good brand.|||I think that is a great powder.. instead try using a good oil control primer and foundation.

If you are using those already then try Make Up Forever or Bare Essentials.

Hope this helps !|||I use Clinique's City Base Oil-Free Powder Compact, works really well. :)

Hope this helped %26amp; good luck!

Is there a drugstore dupe for Lancome Definicils Mascara?

Yeah.|||yes theres the Maybelline Lash Stilleto and its almost the same as the Defincils mascara. I owned Maybelline Lash Stilleto and then bought the lancome Definicils and noticed that they bolth look/work almost the same. If you buy the Lash Stiletto you wont have to buy the definicils. :D i recommend you buy it.

How can I become sole agent for chanel, lancome, Lee jean, and Calvin Klein?

I live in vietnam, nowaday this country is developing not only in business but also on the fields of fashion, shop, beauty...Vietnamese woman now know how the important of their beauty and fashion...so I really want to open and become the sole agent for Chanel, lancome , Lee jean and CK ....beacuse these band name is my favourite brand name|||that will be really hard to do...sorry but only like 1 out of like 5 billion girls gets to be a sole agent for all of those.

What makeup/makeup brushes are better?Clinque, Lancome, Estee lauder, ?

I need good makeup brushes. Foundation and bronzer|||I like Lancome foundation and bronzer brushes best.

They make a very nice flat-top brush which is perfect for applying your bronzer and regular setting powder.

Their regular foundation brush is very soft and nice, but I also love their stippling brush for foundation.

Estee Lauder and Clinique make good eye brushes, but their face brushes arne't the best in my opinion.|||Well you should try them out at the store. I don't shop online when buying brushes, because you don't get to test it out. Even if the description sounds great, it might not work for some skin types, like sensitive ones. I shop at the nearest Sephora. There, you can feel if the brushes work with you. I personally love the MAC brushes. Maybe you should try those!|||Sigma has amazing brushes they are affordable and work like high end brushes.|||For me the best is MAC

Urban decay is also great and has amazing colors

Does anyone think the new Lancome Paris "Magnifique" is kind of unisex?

I know the scent is meant for women, but I REALLY like the scent. I am gay, but I am not a feminine gay man. I was wondering if anyone has smelled the scent and thought it would be sort of unisex.

Honest opinions are appreciated.|||Oh my gosh I totally know what you mean! It is unisex. I didn't know whether it was for men or women.

Which is better for a moisturiser - Estee Lauder or Lancome?

Or another brand. Have have normal to dry skin with the occassional breakout. I have just run out of my cheap moisteriser (I didnt like it) and I want a good one. Which is the best?|||I had the same conditions you have. I have tried all the creams! My favorite that worked best on me was Estee Lauder's day wear plus. It is a multi protection Anti-Oxidant Creme SPF 15 for Dry Skin. The protection plus provides shield skin to help prevent visible signs of aging. And it's $38. That's the bad part but it's worth your money. Hope it works. You can buy it @ the store or online @ their website www.esteelauder.com. Good luck!|||Lancome.|||Estee Lauder is better, I tried it for how many months now. You can see and feel the result within 1 month. I am using the idealist before the moisturizer. It is costly, but it's worth buying. I'm using the from the foam cleanser to the moisturizer. For the 4 items (mus foam, mud lotion, day wear plus cream and the idealist) it will cost you CAD$200, and it will last you for more than 5 months.|||Lancome. I tried it.

Does anyone use the lancome teint idole foundation in ivory 4?

I just got this makeup and I'm having trouble figuring out if it really matches me or not. I'm fair but not very pale. What skin tone are you that use this foundation color? Thanks|||I use shade 2, I did a review on my blog of it. Check it out please :)

Lancome, why is the nightcream thinner than the daycream?

I thought night creams are suppose to be thicker than day creams. How can you tell fakes from reals?|||the only difference is that day cream have sun block in it which it makes less thinner, buy them in a store or Internet i never bought a fake cream have a nice day|||I dont think there are any "fakes from reals", I think its just the difference in different companies and their products.

How do you apply Lancome Definicils mascara?

I own this mascara and I absolutely adore it! However, whenever my mom uses it (I introduced this mascara to her and got her hooked on it recently!) it looks thicker/darker on her eyelashes...what gives??

Is there a certain amount of coats or a way to apply it so as to achieve this effect? lol thanks|||Well mascara can only be applied one way my guess is that she probably applies more coats then you. Try 2 coats if that isn't good enough then apply three maximum.|||Your mom, because of her age, probably has thicker natural lashes than you. If you want to achieve a fuller effect, apply more than one coat to it. If you want "highlight" lashes, buy the individual ones which you can put on top of your natural lashes. I use those on the edges of my eyes, and it makes my lashes look fuller. :)

Where can I find the Lancome Foundation tester?

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Bisque 7(n) to be exact.Tried buy.com, amazon etc any help would be appreciated. Thanks!|||You can find this product at Sephora or Nordstrom.

Does anyone know if the Lancome counter at Macys carries Juicy Wear Ultra Lasting Full Color and Shine Duo?

I was checking out macys website and they only have four colors. I was looking for Candy Apple or Sexy Plum? Does anyone on here have knowledge of Lancome products.|||i adore lancome. they sell out really fast, especially at macy's (i go there) just try back in a few days. ask them when there next shipment is coming in. everytime i buy something from lancome it's always my 2nd or 3nd preference of color or item.|||Jeez- so last year.|||try to see if you can order it...

Do Lancome counters accept exchanges without receipt?

I got a foundation and it's not the right shade but I don't have my receipt. Will they still let me exchange it for another shade in the same foundation?|||yes

Which makeup brand do you think is better in terms of their foundations + powders: Lancome or Makeup for ever?

when i say better, i mean in terms of quality, overall result etc...which one u just works/ looks better!

btw i know there are plenty of other good makeup brands out there...like MAC or Covergirl. I just want to know between Lancome and Makeup for ever.|||definitely lancome, all of their foundations have minerals in them and most of them have SPF 10 or above so your skin is protected against the heat. also they give great coverage and never leave skin in bad condition. I've been using the TEINT IDOLE SILKY MAT foundation and its so good. I've used many foundations before ranging from $2- $55 and this is definitely the best.

hope I've helped x|||Lancome.

Its foundation works wonders on my skin![=|||Lancome|||Lancome is the best i think.|||first of all, covergirl sucks..

and i think that clinique is the absolute best liquid foundation brand and neutrogena the best powder foundation.

but as for foundation betwen lancome and makeup for ever...i'd have to say lancome (tho the ones i mentioned are better than both)

Is Lancome mascara good for thickening?

I am 14 and I just got lancome volumizing mascara'' Hypnose'' because I want my eyes to stand out,is this going to make my eyelashes look pretty?|||My expierience says it isnt very thickening. My best advice is to only use one or two coats otherwise you get spider eyes. If you do that your eyelashes will look pretty :) Good luck!!

What makeup brand is better Dior, Lancome or Chanel?

So, I am a makeup freak but I have never tried any Dior, Lancome or Chanel makeup since as you all know they are super expensive. But since I am trying to step outside my box and experience more makeup brands I am stuck with these 3 brands. So from your experience what brand has the best foundation, eyeshadows, lipsticks, blushes and mascaras?|||From personal experience...

-For foundation I like Lancome better, and they even have a great tinted moisturizer too.

-For eyeshadow pallets Dior is amazing, but if you like the singles more then I would go for Lancome

Both have pretty intense pigmentation.

-Lipsticks would have to go to Chanel since they're always so smooth and they feel fantastic.

-For blushes I would have to say Chanel has the best

-Mascaras goes to Lancome since the Hypnose is my all time favorite mascara.

I would have to say that it's a tie between Lancome and Chanel, though I do think there is a bit of a price difference as Chanel tends to be a bit more expensive on some of their products. I've never been a huge fan of Dior, but they do have great eyeshadow.|||i've never tried dior make-up.

and only a little bit of chanel. (just eyeshadow).

i'm biased towards lancome.

my make-up brushes, eye shadows, lip glosses, eye-liners, mascaras, and powder all come from lancome. even my make-up remover (which works great btw)

everything is infused with a little rosewater, and i love it.

so i say lancome.

but then again, i've never tried the others...|||CHANEL!:)|||chanel|||chanel

Do you like Lancome Definicils Pro High Definition Curved Brush Mascara?

I'm thinking about buying it and I'm wondering if you all have tried it. Is it any good? Thanks!|||Honestly, I'm not too thrilled about it. I would have expected it to give me fuller-looking lashes, but it didn't.

Is Lancome teint miracle concealer basically the same as Lancome effacernes concealer?

Because I was going to get the effacernes concealer, but it's too thick and i really need a long lasting thin liquid one, which the teint miracle one is a thin liquid, but im not sure if it lasts long and if it's really worth the price?|||Why can't you just controll it?

What's a shade of foundation similar to Lancome's Bisque 3?

It's a little expensive to always be buying Lancome. I'd like to find a shade similar to it, but in a more affordable brand. Thanks!|||Try Almay it's around 13 dollars or if you want less expensive Wet n Wild sells a mineral foundation that is goood for around 6 dollars.

How much does freelance make-up artist for Lancome get paid?

I was wondering how much make-up artist that freelance for a high end make-up line like Lancome makes an hr?|||you mean like Michelle Phan? probably a lot because it's Lancome, $45-50+ an hour?

What's the difference between Tresor and Tresor "in love" by Lancome perfumes?

Tresor is composed by the following essential oils:

top fragrance notes: rose, apricot and lily of the valley

middle notes: lilac, peach and iris

base notes: amber, vanilla and musk

Tresor in love is composed by the following essential oils:

top notes: nectarine, bergamot, peach, sour pear

middle notes of turkish rose %26amp; jasmine

base notes: cedar wood

As you can see from the composition, the new Tresor is lighter, fruitier and also fresh. The old Tresor is a classic that can be very difficult worn by young girls. The freshness of Tresor in love comes in principle from replacing the strong oriental base notes (amber, vanilla and musk) with cedar. Also, the top notes contain citrus fruits (so fresh again) and other two fruits. So, I would say that the first one is floral-oriental and the second floral-fruity-fresh.

How much of Lancome's products do I have to purchase so that they will apply the make-up on me for my prom?

This will be at Beverly Center, Los Angeles.|||Have you considered looking at other places? Such as Sephora, MAC or any other counters like Bobbi Brown? Usually, if you let them know it's for your prom, they may not have a fit and try to sell you everything they put on you.|||I would say two or three items. This could be $50 or more depending on what you buy.

Normally you buy some of the stuff they put on you. Good luck and have fun!!|||lancome did my makeup for prom and it looked horrible!! go to MAC or Sephora!!!

Lancome is launching a new product for the body, what would you expect?

We all know that Lancome is a luxerious product. I have a project where i must think bout a new product for Lancome to produce that will be attractive for the european countries, focusing mainly on Germany. But I'm open to any suggestions.. any idea? It must be a product for the BODY!! anything is possible but beyond the neck! So what are you expacting from Lancome ladies??? ;)|||Lancome - eh. While Lancome is considered a luxurious product because it can be pricey and you buy it at nicer department stores, if you know how to read ingredients, you will find that A) you can buy the same stuff at the drugstores for a lot less money, and B) the products contain a lot of harmful ingredients. Harsh detergents, preservatives and carcinogens. Lancome (and a lot of other high-end skincare and haircare products) isn't all it is cracked up to be. You are mostly paying for a label/brand name. Sorry, but I wouldn't use or recommend their skincare products.

Can I return my Lancome foundation brush?

I few days ago I bought a Lancome foundation brush and received a gift with my purchase. Today I found a foundation brush from a different brand that I like better. I have not used the brush yet so can I return it? Do I have to give the gift I received back with it?|||Yes you can return it, and I don't think you have to return the gift. I had to return something, but I didn't take the gift back, and they didn't ask for it.

i love lancome mascars in general.

they do wonders for your lashes in volume %26amp; length

and its perfect for short lashes like mine.

i love the virtuous lancome one the best. :)

oops to answer your question. yes i've used it %26amp; it's also good. :]|||Yes, I have used Lancôme mascara, and it makes your eyes look FlAWlESS.

I'm interested in getting a new foundation. I want it to feel like I have nothing on and lasts all day. Something similar to a moisturizer.|||Lancome. I have a zip code problem on the Lancome site?

So, I have typed in the boxes my name, address, city, state and phone number, but when I introduce the zip code it says it is incorrect. I am not from US and I have typed in the zip code from my address. I assure you it is the correct one. Help?|||The main Lancome site only ships to the US. Use your country's designated site. If it is not listed/ can not be shipped to order through ebay, etc. or visit a counter.

Where can I sample Lancome and Clinique?

I don't really know how stores like Ulta or department store counters work. Where can I have them color match me and try both Clinique and Lancome foundations; do I need to find both make-up counters or can I go to Ulta or one of those stores?

Also - if you've used both lines, which do you prefer and why? I don't have oily skin and I prefer creams or liquids|||I've only seen Clinique and maybe Lancome products at Sephora, so maybe if you went to a Sephora near you, check and see if you can get the samples. Sephora is a really great store because it has practically all those good quality makeup brands.

Hope I Helped :D|||Ulta doesn't carry Clinique or Lancome, but we do have some great prestige brands and we DO color match for free. I used to use Lancome, but with the economy, they've downsized a lot of their products and increased the price. If you are for sure stuck on Clinique or Lancome, Macy's is always a good bet.|||Sephora, and in the Macy;s counters they will give you the free samples.

What is the best face cream: Lancome Absolue, Lancome Absolue Precious Cells, or La Mer?

Only reply if you've used at least one of the three creams listed in the question, and can tell me which of these is best! (No suggestions for other creams will be considered.)|||Try visiting the website makeupalley.com, this website's members write reviews on beauty products they have used. You can type in Lancome in the search or La Mer and you can see what other women who have tried their creams have thought of these brands. Your search results will show you the product reviews, the overall rating and the percentage of women who said they will buy that product again. You can even filter your search by typing in your age and skin type and the site will only show reviews written by women with your skin type.

Is there a way to purchase Lancome products in cheaper stores like walmart?

or would anyone know what suede 5 is in another product, like cover girl or something.|||Lancome definitely won't sell their products in Walmart, because they label themselves as a "luxury brand", so as part of branding, only over their Lancome counters in malls.

Try online :)|||I've never seen Lancome in any cheaper stores. I think your best bet would be to try Ebay, though the cost with shipping may add up to the original price you'd buy it at Macy's or Dillard's for. If you like a Lancome product, ask someone at their makeup counter for a sample of the item you like. If they give you a sample, take it to Wal-Mart or Target and see if you can match it up with a cheaper brand. |||Walmart doesn't sell Lancome. I buy mine online.

What are the pros/cons of Fatale mascara by Lancome?

My mom bought me Fatale by Lancome. I don't know what the mascara does, so please tell me. I know it has to be a good products since their products aren't cheap! Thank you!

Any tips for applying?|||The best thing to do is to go to the Lancome counter in the mall. They will give you all the tips you need for application.|||you slowly twist the wand as you apply it... kind of catch your lashes in the bristles and slowly brush... it's awesome, but you have to have time to apply.|||When you apply mascara, first don't use too much at a time. It's better to add layers. Wait in between for them to dry. But with "Fatale" even one stroke is good.

Then, Lancome's "Fatale" is a very good mascara, as the others of the brand (I use myself "Definicils").

"Fatale" will make your eyelashes long and pretty. It adds a lot of volume as well.

Is it ok to let my 14 year old daughter use lancome high resolution night refill 3x night cream?

A friend of mine gave this to her to use and I am not sure about the side effects of this product.

She gave this cream as an early christmas gift for my daughter.|||I wouldn't suggest a 14 year old use this product. Night creams are made to combat aging, wrinkled and dry skin, a 14 year old definitely doesn't have any of those problems. I looked up the product on the lancome website, and it says it's specifically to help wrinkled skin. I've read studies that say if you use anti aging, anti wrinkling skin products when you're young and don't have those problems, it can cause them to be worse later in life. Honestly, I don't know why you're friend would give that to such a young girl.|||I don't know. But if you want to be safe, put some of the cream on your (or her) wrist and see if it gives you (or her) a rash. If not, I'm guessing that it could be safe. :)|||isnt it just a moisturizer? it should be fine, try it on the wrist and let it sit for 24 hrs first if you are worried.

What lancome mascara is better for thin asian lashes?

Definicils in Deep Black or

Oscillation Intensity or

Hypnose Drama

%26amp; why ? experiences.|||Are your lashes thin, or short?

I say Definicils Precious Cells, because it will help the growth.

Oscillation Intensity would work well too.

A new product you might like is the Hypnose Doll Lashes. It will seperate, lenghten. The brush design would also help you as well.

If you have thin, or even short lashes, I don't reccomend Hypnose Drama because the brush will be difficult. I love it, it is my favorite from Lancome, but I have naturally long lashes.

You know, you can go to the Lacome counter and they will put them on you so you can see for yourself as well, before you even buy.|||Oscillation Intensity. Look at Michelle Phan's Mascara 101 video. You will learn why. Hypnose is for thicker lashes. It works really well

How would one apply for a job at Sephora, Mary Kay, Lancome, etc?

Any ideas and any tips on how one would approach Applying, etc?? Online or apply in person??

Any and all tips would be AWESOME!!

Thank you!|||I would definitely go with Mary Kay, it is so much more rewarding than working at a beauty store! It is truly the best decision I have made!

I am a Mary Kay Beauty consultant and love my job! I still work full time as a medical assistant, and still have enough time to have a business with Mary Kay. You are able to put as little or as much as you want into your business, which is awesome, because you aren't going to get fired. I still make a good amount of money, and I don't have a lot of time to do so aside from evenings and weekends. Several women I know are Mary Kay consultants full time and are stay at home moms, and they love it. They can set up there schedule, work when they want to, and still have time for their family. People love purchasing from their own personal consultant instead of a store where they're are just another customer. It's so much fun having parties, and helping people get news looks, do bridal makeup or makeup for other special occasions, I love it! I get all my products for 50% off which is amazing because I use the skincare, makeup and perfume myself! I have never been more pleased with any products in my life. I have tried Avon and personally was very disappointed with the quality of the products I purchased. You get what you pay for! To start your own business with Mary Kay, it costs $100 dollars, and you get over $323 worth in retail-sized products you can either sell, keep for yourself, or use as testers. You also get all the business tools you need to start your business successfully. I was amazed with what they sent me, and love my Mary Kay shoulder bag that fits basically everything I need to bring to an appointment. I always get compliments on the bag, which is a great conversation starter and way to sell Mary Kay! I get 50% profit on all purchases which you can't find from other companies. For example, yesterday I had an on-the-go appointment, and it came to $260 dollars, that's $130 in my pocket, for telling people how to take good care of their skin and recommending products to them! It is amazingly easy and so rewarding, and didn't take long at all! My best friend had severe acne, and I got her using Mary Kay products, and now her skin is perfectly clear and gorgeous! I love being able to sell a product that I know truly works and I can stand completely behind. I can't say if I sold other products that I could do the same. I am also on my way to earning my first free car from Mary Kay. Women I know having 3, 4, even 5 or more car payments paid for a month from Mary Kay, and you don't need to use it for a car payment, you can just request the cash! Also, as you move along with your career path with Mary Kay, you also receive amazing commission, and great gifts including trips, jewelry, dinnerware, housewares, etc. Mary Kay has been such a blessing in my life, even as I still work full time at my other job! I am able to improve my life, while enriching the lives of the women around me, and I am able to pay my bills, put money in my savings account and also help organizations including my church that are important to me. Mary Kay is constantly featured in magazines, and celebrities use our products. Last monday we were featured on Good Morning America. We believe to have priorities---Faith FIRST, FAMILY second and then the career. Balance to live YOUR life, and be able to live the way you want to! All our products are 100% satisfaction guaranteed. And also the sign up fee as well as any other business costs are completely tax deductible! If you have any questions, let me know! The link below would also be a great help to you, especially if you want to sign up, or have questions, just send a message on the website under "contact me."|||Online, And Apply in person, Shows your dedication on how much you would like to work there :)

What is the difference between Avon Anew Microdermabrasion system and Lancome Resurface C microdermabrasion?

Just the price or what?|||neither are true microdermabriasions. they are just scrubbing systems. microderm is machine that has two circuits one for pressurizing the crystals onto the skin and one for sucking them back off. this stimulates the blood and lymph flow as well as gently removing the top layers of epidermis. the home systems are usually a manual or spinning brush with some type of abrasive material. what you have to be careful about is scrubbing too hard, you could abrade the surface of your skin making yourself more sensitive to UV and environmental factors. and more prone to dehydration.

as far as the Lancome one is concerned the C in it is vitamin C. vitamin C is an acid. it stops the pigmentation process inside the skin, as well as reduces fine lines (as long as the concentration percentage is high enough).

I would go with the Lancome just for the vitamin C. you will get better results.

But if you want great results... go professional and save your money and have a licensed therapist do it. they will be able to prescribe better products and after care. and they will not damage your skin.

good luck

Do any women use Lancome Renergie Double Performance Treatment Anti-Wrinkle and Firmness?

How do you like it? Do you notice a difference in your skin?|||Hi,

I started developing pretty bad facial wrinkles after I crossed 35. I was pretty upset about it as I really didn't whink my skin would start degrading in my 30s. I tried altering my diet, took a lot of dark coloured vegetables such as beetroot and tomatoes as these were supposed to be good for wrinkles and also drank plenty of water. It didn't really work though and my Doctor had even suggested that I go for a Debrassion treatment to fade out my wrinkles. I then recently read an article by a lady who claimed that she got rid of her wrinkles using a particular anti-wrinkle product. I tried it and it worked really well. Within 4 weeks my wrinkles had faded out and were barely visible. Really good stuff. You can read more about the lady's article at the link below.

I poked myself in the eye the first time! But once I got a handle on it, I actually liked it. It made it easier not to apply too much in one section so there were fewer clumps to comb out.

Plus I think Lancome has one of the best mascaras out there. Almost as good as Dior Show.

How do you change the battery on Lancome vibrating mascara?

my Lancome Oscillation mascara ran out of battery and i lost the instructions on how to change the battery and what kind to use.|||I saved my instructions! Apparently it doesn't tell you which one to do, but it has PICTURES on how to use it. It looks like you twist off the cap. Then you pull the cap apart from both sides, then take a pen and press it in the little hole thing so that the battery comes out.

If this doesn't make sense, then just view the pictures that I uploaded haha. If you end up taking the battery out, it will probably say what kind it is and you can find it at the drug store or something!

Any drugstore mascaras that are comparable to Lancome Hypnose?

Lancome's HYPNOSE is my FAVOURITE mascara. i use Clinique High Impact now.

what is a drugstore product that delivers a similar effect? L'Oreal Voluminous, etc?

thanks|||Lancome and L'Oreal are the same company, and many of their products are the same, just packaged and priced differently. One example is the lipglosses in the clear plastic squeeze tube, Another example is the L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. If you like Hypnose, then Voluminous is the mascara to try. Also, I haven't purchased it in a while so I don't know if it's still around, but the L'Oreal Lash Architect is amazing too.

I want to buy lancome foundation and powder and i was wondering if this cosmetic line will make me brake out?

I need your experiences good or bad.|||I haven't tried it but i can give you some very helpful cosmetic review sites. See down there. You can read some real feedbacks from people who used some certain cosmetic types and brands.|||ask to try some on your inner elbow and see if any rashes occur after 24 hours.

Personally I was allergic to it but its not the same for every skin type, so try it before you buy the whole lot.|||Hard to say as your skin is not the same as mine.

Almay is the make up for sensitive skins can recommend.

Lancome skin care ok for me - make up unknown.

Max factor ok for me - definitely NOT revlon

Vichy good for me too.|||unfortunately not all high market products are good especially skin products. oftentimes you are paying the name and not the product itself. such products may contain chemicals that could easily irritate skin especially those that are sensitive. best to check the ingredients and try the samples and see. but the truth of the matter is that one will only find the suitable skin product for them after making many mistakes before finding the right one. just steer clear of the ones with perfume and artificial colorings

Should i get my makeup done by Bobbi Brown or Lancome?

I have a ball coming up and i have a dark grey dress. I don't want anything like a smokey eye or anything. But something that is subtle and not too out there. But i'm trying to decide if i should get my make up done by Bobbi Brown or Lancome, who's products/make up last longer etc as i'l be at the ball for a a period of time.|||Definitely Bobbi Brown.

Her concealers are genius and her foundation is the same.

Without a powder these products stayed on all day and looked amazing no matter what.

Her blushes and bronzors are so flattering it's insane.

Her eye shadows (both cream and powder) are really diverse.

Her eyeliner stays on so well!

Basically Bobbi Brown is the best.|||If I'm not mistaken Lancome specialises in their skin-care, whilst Bobbi Brown specialises in Colour (Makeup). Lacome cosultants are trained more in consulting with customers, whereas Bobbi brown has makeup artist who are trained to apply makeup. Bobbi Brown also has a wider array of colours/makeup products. Just tell whoever at the counter what you want, and they'll be able to help you, and offer better advise too.|||Bobbi brown The brand has a lot more cred in terms of makeup.

Can I use Lancome Flash Bronzer Airbrush on my face?

I'm planning to use it on my body just now, but I want my face to be tan too. Is it too oily? Because I've put a tanning lotion on my face (that was for the body) and my face began to break out because it was too oily or something and didn't even make my face any tanner.|||yes you can|||you can or yo can get the one for you face

How do you apply the highlighting bronzer from lancome?

or any bronzer really. I don't need to conture my face but I hear that bronzer makes your skin pretty. There's only one shade too so do I just sweep it over my whole face with a powder brush?|||I would suggest using a MAC 150 or any blush brush you use and dusting the color on the top of your cheekbone. If you are having trouble visualizing... start at your temple and blend the product down towards the bottom of your nostril but stopping at the apple of your cheek. For extra highlighting, dust some down the bridge of your nose, under your nose (in that little indent between the nose and top lip) and a little on the chin. For sweeping all over your face, I would say to use a regular bronzer, not a highlighting one. A very good one is Benefit's 'Hoola' bronzer or NARS 'Laguna' bronzer. Hope I helped!

Is Lancome's waterproof Hypnose as good as the regular Hypnose mascara?

I know the Hypnose mascara is good, but is the waterproof version just as good?|||haven't tried hypnose, but i can vouch that all waterproof formulas are better. they hold the curl of your lashes (given that you've first used a lash curler) till the very end of the day. it can be annoying sometimes because you always have to use an oil-based remover to take it off, but it's worth it to me.|||I'm using the waterproof Hypnose right now. It's very good. I love it.

But if you take a shower or swim make sure that you don't rub your eyes afterward. It doesn't leak or anything, but it can be smeared a bit

People that dont like the lancome vibrating mascara, and hae tried the new maybelline one?

is it better, different, what did yu think? only people tht dont like the lancome vibrating one. because i didnt like it so i was wondering about maybelline pulse perfection|||i think that the whole 'vibrating brush' is retarded. i mean really? this is a disaster waiting to happen. it's a mascara mess. people can wiggle the brush themselves so there isn't a mess.

Which one of these Lancome mascaras is the best?

I used to wear L'oreal Lash Architect but since its been discontinued in my country, I'm thinking to switch to Lancome. Which one's the best: Hypnose, L'Extreme, Definicils or Virtuose? Any experience from wearing one of those?|||I really like L'Extreme. It separates your lashes really well so your don't have any clumps and gives lots of volume. I also find it stays put well so you don't end up with raccoon eyes. No one wants that :)|||My favourite actually is Definicils Pro because it has a curved brush, and so it is a lot easier and faster to get nice lashes. Definicils though is a great mascara.|||I dont know much about Lancome but

How do you get a job at Lancome, MAC, Clinique etc. one of those counters in Macys?

What kind of training you go through?

How old do you have to be?

Do you have to be a licensed makeup artist or do you gain a license through training?

Don't give me any websites. Thank You!|||I hear they train you at the MAC inside Macys.|||Just go to the makeup counter, ask for the manager and say," I'm interested in pursuing a career with Lancome/mac/clinique/etc(the name of the makeup counter you will be at), can you tell me how to go about applying or inform me of any prerequisites I would need?" A good manager will tell you everything you need to know. A bad one will leave you clueless but thank them too because you don't want to work under someone who doesn't know what's going on!

What is a good day and night foundation from Christion dior or Lancome for a tan oily asian skin?

I need non shiny and oily. Please quote to me the price/ approximate price. All suggestions apprecited. Thank u.|||your best bet is to actually go to the counter and ask for a free consultation. this way they can match up something to your skin type and colour. most people actually wear the wrong colour and this is what results in the dreaded tan line between face and neck. although if you have oily skin then definately do not go for something like dior fluide as you will end up really shiny. dior does a spray foundation (aerosol) called diorskin airflash that gives an airbrushed look (flawless like the models/ celebrities have) its diffusion also gives a fine texture. if you still feel that you are shiny then the best thing to do is dust a powder over your face. this will reduce shine and also sets the foundation so it lasts longer. obviously an oil free moisturizer is also recommended. if you visit www.dior.com then they can also gives tips on how to apply the makeup as well as all their different choices for foundation. another one they do is diorskin icone which is a creme to powder foundation which may help with shinyness as it will give a more matte finish. and from my experience they have a big range of colours so matching up to your skin tone should not be a problem. the airflash goes to a honey beige and the icone goes darker to a dark beige. as i said a consultant will help you pick the shade thats right for you. as for price i live in England where the price is usually around 拢20- 拢25 and i think in America its around about $40.|||None, I would not go for any of those because I am extra oily and none of these brands worked for me. I suggest that you use foundation as less as possible. Use an oil free tinted moisturizer like Neutogena HSE and your skin will remain shine free.|||Teint Idole Ultra by Lancome $36, I wear bisque 6 (its not light nor dark, the perfect tan color), and I have oily south asian tan skin and it works really well, lasts a long time especially in hot weather. I have trie dior skin liquid foundation but it ran out too fast, and it was to expensive to keep purchasing $41. With Lancome, they usually have gift with purchase thats the time I buy my foundation. Check it out:

http://www.lancome-usa.com/makeup/founda鈥?/a>

Also, on oily tan skin, Laura Mercier $42 (pricy i know) makes the perfect shades, I have a hard time matching my skintone. Ask for a makeup consultation, they are usually free. Anyway, lancome is known allover the world and the color collections are easier to find. Oh an fyi, I have also tried the lancome foundation powder, but it looks chalky and streaky in pictures.|||Diorskin Fluid is good. I don't recommend regular use of foundation because the skin needs to breathe. If you don't like your scaly face wear some masks that hydrate your face. Then apply moisturizer.|||i have the perfect thing for you.

Does anyone use and like the Lancome skincare Pure Focus line?

I love the smell of Lancome soap and toners. But it is so expensive. is it really worth it or can something at Walgreens be just as good for a cleanser and moisturizer? but it has to smell good because I am just really sensitive to smell!! Thanks. I really love Lancome's foundation too. Should you stick with all one line or does it matter.|||I haven't tried the Pure Focus line - but I do know that L'oreal is the same exact company as Lancome. They just market the products differently. If you really like Lancome - you may want to try a L'oreal product - might be the same thing but cheaper. I learned this from the book "Don't Go To the Cosmetics Counter Without Me". I think the author was Paula Bedoin (or something like that). It's a great book.|||I work for Lancome. In fact, L'Oreal owns the Lancome cosmetic line. However, the formulas used the products are entirely different. Actually, Lancome spends more money in their laboratories than any other cosmetic line out there, like Clinique, Estee Lauder and Arden.

How does bare minerals foundation compare to other top brands such as MAC and Lancome?

I am curious about it, but dont want to waste my money if it is not as good as other brands I have used in the past such as MAC and Lancome. I have never been happy with any drugstore brand foundations, and dont mind spending a little money for a quality foundation. My skin is normal-neither dry nor oily. Thanks for your input!|||I used bare minerals and even though it makes you skin look radiant it also settles in your lines! I am 23 and only have the typical laugh lines but this stuff made me look much older. It also burned under my eyes for some reason. I use it now as a concealer and that works great.|||My sister uses Bare Minerals and LOVES it. She has freckles on her skin, and Bare Minerals covers them perfectly without looking cakey or fake...it's really natural-looking. I definitely recommend it over drugstore brands.|||Well my personal experienc is it works tons better. It doesnt clog my pores therefore reduces blemishes. and it is lighter|||I have tried many foundations but when I tried Bare Escentuals I was amazed at the way my skin felt, when its really hot out and normal foundations would make my skin feel heavy and greasy this does not. I like the fact that if I'm to tired I can sleep in it without any worry of irritation the next day. I have been using Bare Escentuals now for about 1 1/2 yrs and absolutely love it. Its definitely a good buy, or try in your case.|||From someone that has used all three:

I like the look of Bare Minerals but I can't stand the feel, it looks even and natrual and wonderful but I feel like I have something smeared all over my face. My mom likes it because she has oily skin and it helps her not be shiney and has never found anything that did that that didn't feel like a mask.

Lancome I am allergic to, makes my eyes burn if I get any where near the, but I liked it quite a bit.

Mac has a lot more diversity and I have a foundation that I LOVE, it has a little sheen to it so it hides imperfections and makes my skin look flawless.

Personally I would say stick with Mac, or go into an Ulta, if you have one near you, they have it there and will do your make up for you to see if you like it.

I am horrible about washing my face, as in I wash it in the shower only, and I had issues with Bare Minerals staining my sheets over night and not washing out, and the next morning my face felt hot.

I was lucky that I could try it in the store a few times (I had a friend that worked there and she recommended it) So I didn't spend the money.|||When my sister got married, the makeup artists used bare minerals products on my sister, on my mother, and on me. my sister has freckles and so does my mom. at that time, ihad blemishes. and they were all covered nicely. no spot missed. and of course, during the ceremony, we women tend to cry especially when the bride starts to cry. my sister cried, and so did all of us, it's amazing, that the make up stayed on for hours even after the stream of tears. yep, it's that good... but too bad the price is still too high ..|||it doesnt ive compared and acctually it does about the same thing. the best foundation i found was almay clear complextion.

Does anyone here work for Lancome cosmetics?

For Lancome beauty advisers only please:

I

am thinking about applying for a job with them at my local Macy's. I used to work at Clinique but I quit because of a nasty boss. What is it like working for Lancome?|||Someone I know worked for lancome. They would like to see you have some selling experience, if present. You can NEVER sit down even when there is no customers. You stand and smile at people walking by praying that they would come over for a makeover. Don't be too pushy when your selling a product- always use lines like "OHHH I love this stuff its good for..."

Good Luck

Can you use the Cell Defense from Lancome while you still have some zits?

Earlier this year, I broke out a lot and now they almost gone but I have lots of acne scars. My sister had the same problem and she used the cell defense from lancome and now she has the most beautiful skin. But she used it when all of her acne was clear. I, on the other hand, still have some zits. But I HATE those scar so I wanna use the cell defense now. Have you ever tries cell defense for the same reason? Is it true that Lancome cosmetics test on animals?

I'm a huge believer in Lancome and I have quite a few of their products. Why do cosmetic companies test on animals anyways? Can't they just test on happy volunteers?|||Nope =]

They don't and I'm very happy with that too. My makeup collection consists of many Lancome products.|||I love how the asker chose as the "best answer" the one she was hoping to obtain. It isn't accurate. You should also be aware that "finished product not tested on animals" is NOT the same thing as the ingredients therein not being tested. Do your homework. "Gullible", by the way, is the spelling

|||Exactly. Lancome DOES test on animals.

|||I believe Lancome does NOT test on animals(or at least their London branch doesn't). It is one of the reasons why they're so popular. Cover Girl, Max Factor, Sally Hansen, L'Oreal do test on animals. They want to avoid toxicity, eye and skin irritancy when used with human subjects. They don't want to be responsible if someone dies or permanent effects from a new product. It's also faster to do it with animals.|||yes, i believe they do. here is a list of some well-known companies that do test on animals

http://www.uncaged.co.uk/crueltyfree.htm

i was really disappointed when i heard that lancome tests. im a big animal advocate and as soon as i find out a company tests, i immediately stop using whatever products i have from them. even if the brand doesnt test but it contains an ingredient which somehow harms the environment (i recently found out my ZA night cream contains palm oil), ill stop using it also.

i dont get why they test on animals either. animals are not going to have the same reactions to chemicals as humans are. rats have different immune systms and everything than humans.|||Yes, they do; Lancome is part of the L'Oreal Group, which tests on animals (except for the Body Shop, I think).

http://search.caringconsumer.com/search_鈥?/a>

Caring Consumer is the best place to go because it's run by PETA.

Some brands test their products on volunteers, but like the others said, many do not want to risk getting sued for something that could possibly go wrong. I've read about L'Oreal funding this research for testing products on human skin cells or something like that, but I haven't found any updates on it.|||is it true that 20 pounds of flour will make a really big cake?

Happy volunteers that might experience death or have horrible morphing effects, yeah I don't think so, so let them test on disease carrying rodents and pests suck as Rats.|||Because Happy Volunteers will sue the companies if anything happens to them ^.^ Now, which would be more cost effective? Paying the insurance for said happy volunteers, or grab a random mouse?|||Lancom doesn't.

Read their makeup labels.

They clearly state they DONT.

And, they taste on animals because.

I have 40 dollars. Should I buy the new lancome mascara or buy a mac pencil eyeliner and clinique lipgloss?

I already have a eyeliner from makeup forever but it doesn't work as well as I would like it. And it's hard to get sharpened. I also have a mascara from urban decay but lancome mascara looks amazinggg on me.|||Mac or Clinique just because Lancome tests on animals and I am trying to stay away from companies that do that, plus you already said you have an UD mascara so you should use that up first since mascaras don't last that long.|||buy a MAC pencil eyeliner %26amp; clinique lipgloss. Honestly though, you can find tons of other alternatives that work better or dupes if you looked up swatches online and get more bang for your buck. But cheap mascaras work just as well as high end mascaras, and mascara's shelf life is only around 4-6 months. So I wouldn't spend so much on mascara formula (it's usually the brush that comes with it that make the performance better, so if a mascara isn't working so hot for you, change the brush).|||I'd say get the mascara because if I had to go without something I'd go without eyeliner and keep Mascara. Plus, there this amazing elk eyeliner for like 99c and it's the best eyeliner I've ever had (can be found at cvs and i'm sure a lot of other places). Now you can get Mascara and eye liner x] Hope this helps.|||I tend to find that a good mascara is harder to get hold of, and lipgloss and eyeliner doesn't change much according to price. Lipglosses may be sticky if they're cheap, so check them out before you buy them.

I'd go with the mascara as you've said it looks really good on you.|||go to NARS and pick up either orgasm or anything else you adore or get something from too faced all under 40$ and carried at sephora. between your 2 optionsw go with the options from mac. since your in need of mascara though why not try mac's new 2 in 1 mascara! check out my channel dedicated to hair, makeup, fashion and advice! www.youtube.com/cakekiss25|||You should Give the Money to me,.. ahaha, jk, you should by the lancome mascara, because you can ALWAYS get pencil eyeliners and lipglosses|||Lancome mascara is the best choice.

What is the most worthwhile product from Lancome?

I like makeup and want to try Lancome but they aren't cheap :P so if I was going to get one thing, what should I get? If you need a picture of me let me know, but I was thinking of general things, like foundation or a mascara or whatever it is.|||Their eye shadows are creamy and the pigments are intense.

My recommendation is that you shop for your lancome products when there is a Gift with Purchase so that you can try several items from them including mascaras, lipsticks, glosses and shadows. You can decide what formulas you like and then repurchase them. Since you usually need to spend close to $30 in order to get the gift, pick up a shadow and a mascara since they're basics.

If the gift doesn't have the perfect shade of lipcolor for you, try it anyway so you get to know the formula and how well it wears. If you like it, then you can buy a different color the next time they have a free gift.|||Juicy tubes Lip Gloss|||The mascara. I have been a lancome user for several years, and I am an avid Absolue moisturizer, Absolue cleanser, and Definicil mascara. I thought I would suggest the mascara first, because my Absolue moisturizer is 145.00 and the cleanser aaround 55.00. On the upside I ONLY have to buy it twice a year. I have learned when it comes to skin care, you get what you pay for. there are many other skin care products which are probably just as good, but you will need to use more of it to get the same benefits. High end skin care products only require a dab.

Is Lancome guenifique serum really worth the money? Or is Estee Lauders Advanced Night Repair just as good?

I can't decide if I should spend all that money on Lancome when I think Estee Lauder is good too. Has anyone used both of these skin care lines and liked one better or not?|||Personally I prefer Lancome over Estee Lauder.

Lancome's Genefique serum and Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair work on two completely seperate things. Yes, they are both "anti-ageing" but they are different.

Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair is more to heal the skin from past damage. That being redness from irritation, dark spots from the sun, dryness from de-hydration...

Lancome's Genefique serum is used to stimulate the skin to retain more water (you will not look fat or bloated!)..thereby reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and having smoothing, softer skin.

So it all depends on what it is exactly that you're looking for.|||It is true that both work on two different thing. But Genifique isn't a serum. It's an activator. It is unique because it can be used in combination with a serum. It works on a DNA level to reproduce "youth protiens". It recreates the light from within our skin. Doesn't fight lines or wrinkles

|||Advanced night repair is a serum made to help repair skin while you sleep. Although it claims to fight lines and wrinkles, it only targets one type of collagen strand. There are other anti line serums that target up to 5 different types of collagen to fight lines and restructure.

Peace|||Both are good you can have them without problem i use them very often|||generally speaking dior has a bit more shimmer and glam-factor associated with it, but lancome is a bit more natural looking. both provide teh right amount of shine so it doesn't look like you'v eaten porkchops all day, and it has good staying power as well. lancome juicy tubes are really good, they smell good and plump up the lips nicely. dior addict ( i think its called not sure) has a bit more shine to it, although the flavour it offers is every so slightly mroe intense than lancome's. so whatever goes better with your personality i suppose.|||My mother uses lancome which was great, but after a whil, it stunk like AHHHH! IDK about Dior, but I would suggest lancome... and some earplugs to plug your nose with.|||I think that Dior gloss is so much nicer, if you have to choose between those two. But if you really want a great gloss, go for Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush gloss. It comes in 20 or something colors, and it tastes dee-lish! :)|||I like them both, I find the Dior lasts a little longer on the lips. But Lancome comes in great colors and scents. Sometimes at this time of year Lancome has gift sets of 5 juicy tubes for Christmas, it is a good deal.|||i have the lancome one and its really good . it really like sticky n stuff but thats why its long lasting .|||Go for Dior Plastic Gloss to achieve a glass like shine! It can make your lips look fuller!|||I have never tried the Dior but the Lancome have a smell and are very thick. I always get breakouts around my lips when I use one. I've tried just about every other brand and the best so far has been CoverGirl Outlast Double Lipshine. I'm usually not a drug store shopper but I like the consistency and I most of the time just use the clear side to moisturize throughout the day.

Is it better to use organic products or products from famous brands like Clinique and Lancome?

They say organic is good because it has no artificial chemicals.

But then Clinique is also famous for its range of products. Same goes for brands like Lancome and Garnier.|||Don't let anyone convince you organic is better simply because it is organic.

Don't let anyone convince you famous brands are better just because it's famous.

I agree with the first answerer, just stick to organic if you have different health conditions.

However, if you don't then overall you just experiment around with multiple brands of all sorts to see which products you like best or feel most comfortable using.

EX of Organic Not Working Well: Body Shop lip stick (may be just me not everyone) dried out my lips. I have very very big lips to be fair, but it dried out my lips like most lip sticks. VS lip sticks by the way don't.

EX of High brand Not Working Well: Dior Showtime Mascara, smudges. Badly. And doesn't nearly do as well as a job as most drug store mascaras|||Not all "famous brands" are non-organic.

Non-organic products work for some people with specific skin conditions, but the ingredients may be too active, and result in a break out in sensitive skin due to irritation.

I find organic products "safer" to use, especially in skins that are more prone to sensitivity. However, you may just be allergic to one of the plant extracts in any case.

There are pro's and con's to using both organic, and non-organic.|||Most organic body care/make up products are a sham as the FDA does not have Organic standards like the USDA does see this web site for a lot of information about "Organic" body care including lists of products that really are Organic and those that are not despite having the O word on their label

http://www.organicconsumers.org/bodycare鈥?/a>|||organic :) just cause something is popular and has wide range doesnt always mean its better. i use Burt's Bees, they have face cleansers, scrub, cream, bunch of creams, toner, body wash,shampoo%26amp;cond., and some lip glosses|||I think that Clinique is amazing actaully! and very good to the skin !

in geberal though, I think prganic ones are better..

But if you don't maybe you should stick to organic products:)|||I would say organic if you are into that, but the higher end products obviously work better. Its your choice. Hope I helped!
